Call For Translators!

Call For Translators!

Postby fnatter » Sat Mar 22, 2014 11:53 am

Dear users/developers,

we're feature complete for quite some time now (current preview: 1.3.7_03), and so
now is the perfect time to contribute to Freeplane by adding translations for your favorite language!

Here is the documentation for translators:
http://freeplane.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Translation_How-To
(please tell us if something doesn't work or is not clear!)

Post here if you don't know what a particular translation key means or if
you're having other problems.

Many Thanks and Best Regards,
Felix

When I Open this link:
http://hosted.weblate.org/projects/freeplane/

Chrome says the site is no secure (has no valid certificate)

It's there a problem?

Bye

Thank you for reporting the problem. It seems like the problem comes from the ssl certificate for the newly used https connection. According to information in my browser the certificate is issued by CACert. Currently such certificates are not considered valid because CACert root certificates are not installed in the most browsers. We do not see any security risks here. However we are going to contact people behind the weblate to try to find better solution for the future.

Regards,
Dimitry

I tried today. It's pretty easy. I will help with the spanish translation.

one question:
how can I know when traslating how many characters can I use? Usually to say something correctly in spanish you use more words in spanish than in english. How can I know if the translation I did will look good in the menu or the form in Freeplane?

hi Edo,

I have added instructions on how to test your translations to the wiki.

--> The easiest way to find out is to test your translations, and you can post here if you can't find a string in the UI.

Thanks and Best Regards,
Felix
