Want to make a todo list

Want to make a todo list

Postby neteffect » Mon Mar 11, 2013 5:58 am

Hello, freeplane looks pretty neat, I wish it were easier to figure out!

I want to make a todo list. For this one list, I have Mon, Tue, Wed, and Thu.

I want another list. Task 1, Task 2, Task 3.

I just want to connect the nodes, a line from Mon to Task1 and so on, different things.

Once I start putting connections, the lines are pretty bad, it goes way over to the other side of the node, and the line goes through text and the lines themselves are too messy and cannot be handled and separated easily. I cannot find even the simplest todo list (with or without static items) as an example.

There are videos on scripts, comparing to freemind, all these things. But it took me hours to figure out how to change a parent, the difference between a connector and a child, all this. How come there are not simpler videos?

thank you.

Neteffect,

Have you tried FreeplaneGTD? https://sourceforge.net/projects/freeplanegtd/

In order to apply Freeplane mapping to the GTD paradigm, the Node text is Task 1, Task2, Task 3, etc. The when attribute of each of these nodes is set to Mon, Tue, Wed, or Thu. Once entered, you can display a list by when. Optionally, you can use who and where attributes.

I use GTD for all of my projects.
