Format of timestamps in created/modified date of nodes?

Format of timestamps in created/modified date of nodes?

Postby elwood151 » Wed Mar 05, 2014 1:37 pm

I want to read out the timestamps of creation/modification of nodes by parsing the .mm file and extracting the information which mindmap was changed on a certain day.
(The idea behind is to use this information with Memacs https://github.com/novoid/Memacs).

I wonder in which format the date information is saved and how I can convert it into something like YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss
For testing, I created a small mindmap and an example node which looks like this:

Code: Select all
<node TEXT="this node was created today" POSITION="right" ID="ID_858669817" CREATED="1394025566995" MODIFIED="1394025571207">
<edge COLOR="#ff0000"/>
<node TEXT="parent node created on 2014-03-05 14:19:26" ID="ID_1726508790" CREATED="1394025605738" MODIFIED="1394025673770"/>
<node TEXT="parent node modified on 2014-03-05 14:19:31" ID="ID_1808712069" CREATED="1394025647336" MODIFIED="1394025668349"/>
</node>

so the date information of the node is:
CREATED="1394025566995"
MODIFIED="1394025571207
which corresponds to
created on 2014-03-05 14:19:26
and modified on 2014-03-05 14:19:31

I don't see any parallels between the 2 date strings :-(

hi,

the numbers are the number of milliseconds since 1970-01-01, commonly known as "timestamp".
Just search for "<your programming language> convert timestamp date".

Best Regards,
