Then set the option back to the recommended option "in RAM".

Next test is more difficult to do but let us try it.

Quit Freeplane if it is running
Create directory C:\Temp if it does not exist yet
Go to freeplane installation directory
Open file freeplaneConsole.l4j.ini in text editor
Add line
Code: Select all
-agentlib:hprof=cpu=samples,file=C:/Temp/hprof.txt,depth=30,interval=2

Run freeplaneConsole.exe, Freeplane should start
Open the map where you can see the high CPU load
After the map is loaded wait about 10 seconds observing the high CPU load
Quit freeplane
Go to directory C:\Temp
Find file hprof.txt and upload it to your bug report
Remove the added line from file freeplaneConsole.l4j.ini

Could you please add freeplane log files created under the high load to the bug report?
From the file you submitted I can see that the painting occurs more often than usual but I can not see the reason for it.

You find the log files in Freeplane user directory which can be opened from menu Tools->open user directory
