Hello, when the ribbons are integrated in Freeplane, we will also need more (and new) icons for all the entries in the menus.

Hello,

In order to make easies for designers to try the new ribbon based interface I created a preview version at http://sourceforge.net/projects/freepla ... p/download .I think the name of the directory "do not use me" is clear enough, this binary is just a preview to be tried out by curious folks.

Marc-Joel, was this discussion helpful, do you already have an idea what you would like to contribute?

Regards, Dimitry

Hello!

As i understand i could try:
● overhaul all default freeplane icons
● add some new useful icons, therefor, another discussion with the community is needed
● provide svg versions of icons for a maybe played "auto-rescaling icon feature" for the zoom of freeplane

Greetings!

Beyond icons which can be attached to mind map nodes there are also icons used in menus, tool bars and new UI called ribbons.
So you can think about contributing to any of them.

Ok, then there should be organized a detailed todo list for the tasks so i can start. I dont know if i can help with the list it self.
Maybe i have to dive into a git tutorial first, cause i am not that familar with it right now.

You can just decide where you want to start and let us know.
You do not need git knowledge, you can commit just uploading your work here, I can take care for the rest.
If you want to create a to-do list to get feedback just post it here.

Looks like a much more modern interface - well done. We could do with a similar face lift for the maps too. Someone said to me that ours looks like something born with Windows XP - and I guess it does, although I cant see how to make it better!

Hello, sorry for the late response. Vacation is over now.
Predarg Cuklin will provide me with all his icon work for freeplane. I still feel a bit unable to create a task schedule for the work. what exactly is to do? Please help me to clarify the startings. Its my first contribution, so be gentle to me :].
