Mind map with branches in all web-safe colors offered

Postby mwmuc » Tue Aug 09, 2011 8:02 am

I would like to make a mind map available that contains a main branch and four subbranches in each of the colors which are generally considered "web safe", meaning they should display the same in all browsers. While this notion might be subject to discussion, the mind map still lets you easily choose visually and copy nodes from a large selection of colors without creating a specifically colored branch manually. I tried to upload the .mm together with the text above but did not have sufficient rights and was directed here (I believe). How can I make the mind map available "officially"?

It is attached to this post but I was thinking of something more like the Wiki repository.

Hi

This is a great resource, very well put together, and should definitely be up on the wiki.

I guess there might be others like me who tend to use Node Background Colour more than Node (outline) colour, so maybe amongst those four nodes for each colour one could be set to using the colour variant for that purpose? Anyway its great that you have also included the RGB values, because it makes it easy to do such adjustments individually.

Your reference map opens the possibilities of some saved filters (based on Text contains "Name of Colour 1 OR Name of Colour 2 OR Name of Colour 3 etc) that could select out various palettes as "sub-viewings" of the larger map.

cheers

Hi Geoff,

good idea, if I understood correctly. The result is attached. Is it what you meant?

Cheers, Michael

Thanks, Dimitry.

I'll upload the .mm once there are no more change requests.
